The Attack on the Bride

The war for purity began in eternity past. Satan and his angelic rebels attempted a coup to depose Almighty God and take over heaven. They were defeated and cast down to earth. The battleground then shifted from the courts of heaven to a garden on earth. In that garden, Satan attacked the pinnacle of God’s creation, humans. By attacking Eve and deceiving her into eating forbidden fruit, Satan established a pattern, a strategy for destroying humanity—attack the bride and you can defeat the groom. Fast forward to the time of Jesus Christ. Satan attacks God, the Son. He assumes he’s defeated Jesus by nailing Him to a cross on Good Friday. He hadn’t counted on Easter Sunday. The resurrection of Jesus Christ was the single most important event in human history! With Jesus’ resurrection, Satan and the power of sin and death were forever defeated—game over!

Does Satan accept that he’s defeated? Does he slink off into the sunset? Hardly. Revelation 12:17 says of the end times, “Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to make war against the rest of her offspring-- those who obey God's commandments and hold to the testimony of Jesus.” With his defeat on Easter Sunday, Satan now turns his full fury at the Bride of the Second Adam, Jesus Christ. Every born again, blood-washed believer in Jesus Christ is now targeted for attack. How does he attack the Bride? In many ways, but one of the chief weapons in his arsenal is sexual sin. His goal? Defile the Bride. Render her unclean and, therefore, unfit to marry!

That, my beloved friends, is why the National Coalition For Purity was birthed. We are a frontline ministry counterattacking Satan. We exhort, train, and resource the Church, the Bride of the Second Adam, to stand against sexual sin and for sexual purity. We are committed to equipping the Church to become pure and holy until the Second Adam, Jesus Christ, returns to claim her as His wife.
