About the NCFP
Essential for today's culture… in a highly sexually charged culture such as ours, we are in dire need for God to provide a way for individuals, families and churches to avoid the destruction that comes with sexual impurity. We are excited to report that He has been using the NCFP for just such a purpose!
You have probably heard the statistics. In 2004, over $57 billion dollars was spent worldwide on pornography and the sex industry. In 2006, $97.06 billion was spent on pornography worldwide, with $13.33 billion spent in the United States (2006 statistics). That figure is only increasing. Sadly the church is not immune to the wave of unhealthy sexuality sweeping over the nation. Estimates range from between 60-65% of Evangelical Christians access internet pornography monthly. This also includes 33% of Evangelical pastors.
We are about protecting families… Surveys show that 47% of Christians indicate that pornography is a major problem in their homes. If those estimates present an accurate picture, we all desperately need help. The Church has become infected with the same disease as the culture in which we live. The Church has an undeniable problem it must face.
It isn't only men who are targeted by the sex industry. Women, teens and children are also targeted. The average age of first exposure to pornography is 11 years old. And women are the fastest growing segment of the population accessing pornography. Unless the Church faces and addresses this crisis, it will pay the price of powerlessness and irrelevance. The Bible clearly warns Christian to "flee from sexual immorality." (I Corinthians 6:15) When we do not, we pay the price. With impurity comes weakness, but there is power in standing together in purity.
Providing a platform… NCFP is available for Christian individuals, churches and businesses as a resource in the fight for sexual purity. We are a stronger force as we work together against this common enemy. In addition NCFP partners with churches to provide a proven four-stage strategy for launching purity ministry to men. This strategy has been field -tested since 2002 in churches of many denominations. The strategy has proven successful in helping 91% of all men to become more sexually pure. As part of the strategy, NCFP provides training for church leaders to support the wives of men in the purity ministry through the Women of Truth ministry.
